It’s bedtime with Sarah Schäfer

Back in 2015, out of passion for writing and fashion, Sarah Schäfer has founded her blog called sariety.com. Ever since, she has been working relentlessly to create the highest quality editorial and street style images. She captures her readers’ attention not only by appealing storytelling, but also because of her own visual language, sophisticated, personal style and unconventional perspective on fashion.

Changes and new projects

By now, sariety.com is a duo of outstanding creatives: in 2019 Sarah’s husband, Ben, joined the blog as a full-time photo- and videographer and a manager. Together they work on a variety of topics, so that the website is not only fashionistas’ destination.

Besides editorial and street style shootings, it is also full of texts on travel, beauty and interior design. Sarah and Ben have worked with numerous well-known international brands and have produced many creative projects.

Last year the couple moved into a new apartment and invited us to accompany them in their journey of furnishing their bedroom. Let’s take a peek into theirs monochrome interiors and read Sarah’s review of the Streiko bed and Tu bedside tables.

Similarities between interior design and fashion

I’m a seeker for timeless and monochrome looks, both when it comes to fashion and interior. So it comes as no surprise that my wardrobe, as well as my home, is mainly minimalistic. Since we moved into a new apartment last fall, I am constantly researching new furniture.

By an unexpected coincidence, I came across noo.ma, which perfectly embodies the style we had in mind for our bedroom. And because sustainability and durable, high-quality products are a very important aspect for my fashion and interior choices, I felt that noo.ma was the perfect partner to help us furnish our bedroom.

Monochrome and eye-catching

Since most of the furniture in our home is black or white, I especially wanted to furnish the bedroom with natural materials and colors such as wood, rattan, beige and brown. The Streiko Bed fulfilled everything we wanted for our bed: a simple design, which nevertheless creates a warm atmosphere due to its walnut body.

To match the bed, we decided to add the Tu Bedside Table in walnut, which makes the monochrome look perfect, but is also an eye-catcher with its two levels and the mix of metal and wood.
